Power to extend time under NCLT Rules permits enlargement of procedural deadlines, including after expiry, subject to terms.
Rule 15 empowers the Tribunal to extend any time prescribed by these rules or fixed by order for doing any act or taking any proceeding; the extension may be granted on such terms as justice requires. The provision permits enlargement of time even if the application for extension is made after the original period has expired, thereby authorising retrospective extensions subject to judicial discretion and any terms imposed to secure fairness and procedural propriety. Reference to NCLT Rules clarifies the tribunalary procedural context.
