<h1>Rule 245: Liquidator Can Pay Deceased Creditor's Claims Under 500 Without Succession Certificate, Tribunal's Approval Required</h1> Rule 245 of the Limited Liability Partnership (Winding up and Dissolution) Rules, 2012, addresses the payment of a distributable sum or return of assets due to a deceased creditor or partner. If the claim is 500 or less, the Liquidator can apply to the Tribunal for approval to pay the claimant without requiring a succession certificate or similar authority. Upon the Tribunal's sanction, the Liquidator must obtain a personal indemnity from the payee before proceeding with the payment.
