Service on LLP: prescribed notice and copy of petition must be dispatched to the LLP's registered office or principal place of business.

Rule 91 prescribes that a petition against an LLP be accompanied by a prescribed notice, a copy for service and a stamped addressed envelope for registered post or empanelled courier to the LLP's registered office or principal place of business; the Registrar must on admission send the notice and copy by registered post or courier; and, unless presented by the LLP or ordered otherwise, petitions and generally applications must be served at the LLP's registered office or principal/place of business by leaving a copy with an officer or employee, or as the Member or Registrar directs, or by prepaid registered post or empanelled courier to the registered office or last known principal place of business.
