Schedule amendment to central excise updates classification for vitrified and glazed tiles and removes a prior entry. Amendment to the Third Schedule to the Central Excise Act substitutes the column (3) description at S. No. 58 with 'vitrified tiles, whether polished or not, glazed tiles' and omits S. No. 59 and its related entries, thereby changing the scheduled classification and removing the subsequent entry for those tile products.
