of <h1>Finance Bill 2016: Amendments to Customs Act Section 25, Effective Date of Notifications and Sub-section Removal Proposed</h1> Clause 116 of the Finance Bill, 2016 proposes amendments to section 25 of the Customs Act. It aims to replace sub-section (4) to stipulate that any notification issued under sub-section (1) or (2A) will become effective on the date it is issued by the Central Government for publication in the Official Gazette, unless stated otherwise. Additionally, it proposes the removal of sub-section (5).
