Commencement provision: Finance Act, 2016 deems sections 2-112 effective from 1 April 2016 for the financial year 2016-2017. Short title and commencement: Finance Act, 2016 is enacted and, except as otherwise provided in the Act, sections 2 to 112 are deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, 2016, aligning those operative provisions with the relevant financial year and applying their substantive effect from that deemed commencement.
