of <h1>New Rules for Annual Info Returns on Service Tax and Central Excise Effective April 1, 2016, Under Finance Act.</h1> The Service Tax and Central Excise (Furnishing of Annual Information Return) Rules, 2016, established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Finance, were notified on February 15, 2016. These rules are enacted under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 1994. They are intended to regulate the submission of annual information returns related to service tax and central excise. The rules became effective from April 1, 2016.
