of <h1>Conditions of service of Judicial Member under NCLAT Rules: application of High Court Judges Act terms and postretirement government equivalence</h1> Where a serving High Court judge is appointed as a Judicial Member, service conditions not expressly provided in the NCLAT Rules follow the High Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1954 and its rules; that legal framework governs those terms. Where appointment continues beyond the judge's retirement date or expiry of lien, the remaining term's service conditions (except for matters specifically prescribed in the NCLAT Rules) will correspond to those applicable to Government of India employees of equivalent status, thereby aligning postretirement terms with central government service norms for the balance of the term.
