<h1>Customs & Excise Settlement Commission: 5-Year Term Limit, Age Cap at 62, 2-Year Service Before Role Change.</h1> A person appointed as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, or Member of the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission serves a term of five years or until reaching the age of sixty-two, whichever comes first, without eligibility for reappointment. However, a Vice-Chairman or Member may be appointed as Chairman or Vice-Chairman, provided their total service does not exceed five years or the age limit of sixty-two. Additionally, they must serve at least two years before applying for or being appointed to another position, as per the amendment effective from May 11, 2007.
