of <h1>Rule 6: Customs and Excise Officials Can Contribute to Provident Fund Like Non-Pensionable Government Servants</h1> Rule 6 of the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and Members) Rules 2000 pertains to contributions to the Contributory Provident Fund. It allows the Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, and Members to make contributions under the Contributory Provident Fund Rules, 1962, similar to non-pensionable Central Government servants. This provision was amended by a notification in 2002, replacing the previous entitlement to contribute to the General Provident Fund under the 1960 rules.
