Permitted imports by EOU units enable supply of agricultural inputs and equipment to contract farmers under FTP duty treatment. Appendix-6I authorizes EOU units in agriculture/horticulture to import or domestically procure specified inputs and equipment for supply to contract farmers in the Domestic Tariff Area, under the duty and tax treatment specified in Paras 6.01(d)(ii) and (iii) of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20; listed items include seeds, fertilizers and crop chemicals, irrigation and greenhouse equipment, planting material and growing media.
