Duty free import for agricultural inputs allows EOUs and SEZ units to supply specified items to contract farmers. Authorization permits duty free importation and domestic procurement by EOUs and SEZ units engaged in agriculture/horticulture for supply to contract farmers in the DTA, subject to the Appendix conditions. Permitted items include seeds; fertilizers, micronutrients and crop protection chemicals for pre and post harvest treatment; irrigation and application equipment (filters, driplines, sprinklers, valves, pumps, injectors); crates, preservation media and grading tables; greenhouse and propagation equipment; planting and vegetative propagation material; and various growing media.
