For cut and polished emeralds, rubies, and sapphires in jewellery valued up to US$ 350 per carat, the entitlement is 60% for uncut and unset stones, increasing to 80% for those valued above US$ 350. Semi-precious and synthetic stones have a 50% entitlement, while pearls are at 60%. Plain gold, silver, and platinum jewellery and articles have a 50% entitlement. Entitlements for diamonds and precious stones are calculated separately, with semi-precious stones and pearls assessed individually.
