Clean energy cess purposes expanded to include financing and research for clean environment and energy initiatives. The amendment broadens the purposes for levy of the Clean Energy Cess, replacing the prior wording in section 83(3) to permit use of cess proceeds for financing and promoting clean environment and energy initiatives, funding research in clean environment or clean energy, and any other related purposes.
