Depositaries Must Notify Parties of Key Actions Under Article 32 in Double Tax Avoidance Agreements
Article 32 outlines the responsibilities of Depositaries under the Double Tax Avoidance Agreements (DTAA) and related international conventions. Depositaries must notify member states of the Council of Europe, OECD countries, and other parties to the Convention about specific actions, such as signatures, ratifications, entry into force dates, declarations, reservations, and other relevant communications. Upon receiving or making such notifications, the Depositary must immediately inform the other Depositary. This article was established on June 1, 2011, and mandates that certified copies of the Convention be distributed to each party and eligible state.
