Authorised representative filing-bench may accept memo with undertaking, but may withhold orders or treat misrepresentation as misconduct.

Rule 14 allows an authorised representative to file a memo of appearance with an undertaking to submit the executed vakalatnama or authorisation within Bench granted time; the allowance is discretionary. Non compliance can lead the Bench to withhold or stay orders and to deny future procedural accommodation, while any misrepresentation to invoke the Rule is treated as misconduct with attendant disciplinary consequences.
