<h1>Central Government Empowered to Appeal Company Acquittals Under Companies Bill, 2011, Clause 444, Overriding Criminal Procedure Code.</h1> Clause 444 of the Companies Bill, 2011, permits the Central Government to direct a company prosecutor or authorize another individual to appeal an acquittal order in cases under this Act, notwithstanding the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. This provision applies to acquittal orders from courts other than High Courts. An appeal filed by the authorized prosecutor or individual is considered validly presented to the appellate court.
