Security for investigation costs may be required before appointing an inspector, refundable if investigation leads to prosecution. The Central Government may require an applicant to give prescribed security, not exceeding the prescribed maximum, for payment of costs and expenses of an investigation before appointing an inspector, and that security shall be refunded if the investigation results in prosecution.
