Election of meeting chairman by show of hands; a demanded poll, taken forthwith, can replace the chairman for the remainder of the meeting. Members personally present at a meeting elect one of themselves as Chairman by a show of hands unless the articles provide otherwise. If a poll is demanded on the election it must be taken forthwith under the Act, and the chairman chosen by show of hands remains chairman until a poll elects another person, who then serves as chairman for the remainder of the meeting.
