Regulation 19: Companies Must Endorse Key Details on Documents with Registrar's Signature or Digital Authentication
Regulation 19 of the Companies Regulations, 1956, mandates that certain details must be endorsed on every document registered or filed with the Registrar. These include the company's registration number, a unique document number, and the date of registration. Endorsements must be signed by the Registrar with an official seal or authenticated via a digital signature for electronic documents. If direct endorsement on the document is impractical, a separate sheet must be attached for physical documents, while electronic documents require digital signature authentication. These provisions were updated by GSR 497(E) on August 21, 2006.
