<h1>New Rules Require Electronic Issuance of Company Documents; Manual Issuance Allowed Only with Written Justification</h1> The Companies (Electronic Filing and Authentication of Documents) Rules, 2006, mandate that the Registrar or Central Government issue certificates, licenses, receipts, approvals, endorsements, or acknowledgements electronically. However, if electronic issuance is not feasible, the Registrar or an officer of the Central Government must document the reasons in writing and may then issue these documents physically, with a manual signature and the office seal.
