of <h1>Finance Bill 2011: Section 69(1) Extends Excise Notification Investment Periods from Six Months to Four Years</h1> The Ninth Schedule of the Finance Bill, 2011, under Section 69(1), details amendments to specific excise notifications. The amendments extend the investment period in conditions (C) and (D) from 'six months' to 'two years' for notifications G.S.R. 679(E) and G.S.R. 60(E), effective from August 25, 2003, to March 31, 2006, and January 21, 2004, to September 30, 2006, respectively. Further, for G.S.R. 60(E), as amended by G.S.R. 419(E), the investment period is extended from 'two years' to 'four years,' effective from July 9, 2004, to May 31, 2011.
