of <h1>Filing Applications Under Regulation 8: Steps, Fees, and Requirements for Advance Rulings in Customs and Tax.</h1> Regulation 8 of the Authority for Advance Rulings (Customs, Central Excise, and Service Tax) Procedure Regulation, 2005 outlines the procedure for filing applications. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed form, either in person or by mail, with a fee of INR 2,500. They should be filed in quadruplicate during specified hours on working days. All documents must be signed by an authorized person and presented on A-4 size paper. For applicants outside India, additional contact information is required. The filing date is recognized as the date the application is received by the Authority.
