of <h1>Settlement Commission Order Void if Fraudulent; Assessing Officer Resumes Proceedings, Must Conclude Within 21 Months per Section 277.</h1> The order issued by the Settlement Commission under section 277 becomes void if obtained through fraud or misrepresentation. If voided, proceedings before the Assessing Officer regarding the settled matters are revived from the application admission stage by the Settlement Commission. The Assessing Officer is authorized to complete these proceedings within twenty-one months from the end of the financial year when the order is declared void.
