Foreign trade procedure notification: HBP compilations and DEPB schedule set operative procedures for transparent EDI compatible compliance. The Director General of Foreign Trade notifies HBP v.1, HBP v.2 and the Schedule of DEPB rates as the operative compilations; the Handbook implements the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act and the FTP by prescribing simple, transparent and EDI compatible procedures for administration and compliance, and adopts definitions and glossary from the FT (D&R) Act, Rules, Orders and FTP for interpretation of the procedures.
