Tax Notice Rules for Partitioned Hindu Families: Serve to Last Manager or All Adults if Manager Deceased
When a Hindu family is disrupted due to total partition, any tax notice under the Direct Taxes Code must be served to the last manager of the family. If the last manager is deceased, the notice should be served to all adult members who were part of the family before the partition. For an unincorporated body that is dissolved, the tax notice can be served to any adult participant who was a member immediately before the dissolution.
