<h1>Clause 118: Board Can Delegate Powers to Members for Supervision and Direction Over Affairs, Subject to Conditions.</h1> Clause 118 of the Direct Taxes Code Bill, 2009, allows the Board to delegate its powers and functions to any Member through a general or special order in writing, subject to specified conditions. Unless otherwise provided by rules, a Member is granted powers of general superintendence and direction over the Board's affairs as assigned by the Central Government. The Member is authorized to perform all acts and exercise all powers on behalf of the Board concerning the assigned work.
