of <h1>Finance Bill 2009: Customs Tariff Act Update on Textile Goods Classification in SECTION XI, Note 2.</h1> In the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2009, the Third Schedule amends the Customs Tariff Act's First Schedule, specifically in SECTION XI, Note 2. It revises paragraph (A) concerning the classification of goods made from a mixture of textile materials. Goods composed of textile materials classified under Chapters 50 to 55 or headings 5809 or 5902 are to be classified based on the textile material that predominates by weight. If no single material predominates, the goods are classified according to the textile material corresponding to the heading that appears last numerically among those considered.
