Reference to Legal Metrology Act replaces Standards of Weights and Measures, updating Customs Tariff Act references retroactively.

Clause 55 substitutes the reference to the Standards of Weights and Measures Act in the proviso to sub section (2) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act with a reference to the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, and deems that substitution to have effect from 1 March 2011 so that statutory cross references read as referring to the successor enactment.
