Customs Cargo Service providers must maintain approved infrastructure, segregated storage, secure cargo-handling premises, Customs connectivity, access controls and insurance for projected stored-goods value. They must bear cost-recovery charges for posted Customs officers, execute prescribed bonds and security for imported and export goods, and provide separate security for export goods transferred between customs areas. Specified major ports, government entities and Authorised Economic Operator providers are exempt from certain bank guarantee or cash-deposit requirements. Providers must comply with applicable customs requirements and indemnify Customs against liability for cargo loss or damage during handling.
