Penalty for non-compliance with notice: daily penalty may be imposed alongside commodities transaction tax and interest.

Where the Assessing Officer in proceedings under this Chapter is satisfied that an assessee has failed to comply with a notice under sub section (1) of section 103, he may require payment of a penalty in addition to any commodities transaction tax and interest, imposed on a per day basis for the duration of the failure.
