Rescue room attendant duties require continuous attendance, security of equipment, call records, housekeeping, and obedience to the in-charge.

Every rescue room attendant must remain on duty until relieved by a substitute, prevent unauthorised entry or removal of apparatus or equipment, attend and record telephone calls, maintain the rescue room in a neat and tidy condition, and obey the orders of the rescue room in-charge while assisting in the discharge of that officer's functions.
