Memorandum of settlement rules require Form I, authorised signatures, and reporting or filing after conciliation or mutual negotiation.

Memorandum of settlement under the Industrial Relations (Central) Rules, 2026 must be recorded in Form I where the settlement is reached during conciliation proceedings or where a written agreement between employer and worker is reached outside conciliation. The settlement must be signed by the employer or authorised agent, and on the workers' side by designated Trade Union office bearers or authorised worker representatives. In individual disputes, it must be signed by the employer and the concerned worker.
