Director Identification Number verification requires submission of particulars to the Central Government or an authorised officer at prescribed intervals and in the prescribed manner. Non-compliance, improper allotment, or director disqualification may lead to deactivation or cancellation of the Director Identification Number. A deactivated Director Identification Number prevents the holder from functioning as a director, while cancellation makes the office vacant.
