Employees must take reasonable care for their own and others' health and safety, comply with specified health and safety standards, cooperate with the employer's statutory obligations, avoid wilful dangerous acts, and not wilfully interfere with or misuse safety appliances. They must promptly report unsafe or unhealthy situations to the employer, safety representatives, or prescribed officials, with specific reporting procedures for mine workplaces, and perform any additional duties that the appropriate Government may prescribe.
