Representation in industrial disputes: union or employer association officers may represent parties; lawyers barred except with consent and tribunal leave.

Section 94 entitles workers to representation by office bearers of their registered trade union or affiliated federation, or by authorised officers or fellow workers where not union members; employers may likewise be represented by officers of their employer association or affiliated federation, or by authorised officers or employers if not association members. Legal practitioners are barred from conciliation and Tribunal proceedings except where all parties consent and the Tribunal or National Industrial Tribunal grants leave.
