Government mediation schemes allow disputes involving government parties to be resolved through prescribed guidelines.

Central and State Governments and their entities may frame schemes or guidelines to resolve disputes by mediation or conciliation where a government authority is a party, and mediation or conciliation may be conducted in accordance with those schemes or guidelines, subject to the provisions of the Act.
