Interpreter is required to take an oath or solemn affirmation before the Bench officer or Court officer, in the same manner as is taken for examining a witness. The prescribed declaration requires faithful and true interpretation of all questions and evidence given by the witness, together with correct and accurate translation of documents entrusted for translation.
