Fiscal privileges of diplomatic and consular officials remain preserved despite treaty provisions, under international law and special agreements.

The Convention does not abrogate, limit, or otherwise affect the fiscal privileges enjoyed by diplomatic and consular officials under the rules of international law or under the terms of special agreements; such tax immunities continue to operate independently of the Convention's taxing provisions.
