Listing eligibility restrictions: companies with negative net worth, public deposits, defaults, insolvency or certain company types barred from listing.

Companies are ineligible for listing if they are section 8 or Nidhi companies, companies limited by guarantee with share capital, have outstanding public deposits, possess negative net worth (as defined in clause (57) of section 2 of the Act), or have defaulted on payments to banks, financial institutions, debenture holders or secured creditors unless the default was cured and two years have passed.
