Act done in good faith for benefit of incapacitated persons limits criminal liability where consent cannot be obtained.

Section 30 exempts from criminality acts done in good faith for the benefit of a person without that person's consent when consent is impossible or the person is incapable and no guardian can be reached in time; pecuniary benefit is excluded. The exception excludes intentional causing or attempting to cause death, acts known likely to cause death except when preventing death or grievous hurt or curing grievous disease, voluntary causing or attempting to cause hurt for other than preventions, and abetment of offences to which the exception would not extend.
