Mediation settlement recording requires commissions to record settlements promptly and continue hearings on unresolved issues.

Where a settlement report is received, the District, State or National Commission must, within seven days, pass an order recording the settlement and dispose of the matter. If settlement is partial, the Commission must record the settled issues and continue to hear remaining issues. If mediation fails, the Commission must continue to hear all issues in the consumer dispute.
