Parliamentary oversight of rules requires laying instruments before both Houses and permits modification or annulment within a set period.

Every rule or regulation made under the Act must be laid before each House of Parliament for a cumulative period of thirty days; if both Houses agree before the expiry of the immediately following session to modify or disallow the rule, it will thereafter operate only as modified or be of no effect, without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under the rule.
