Supersession of recognised association governing bodies allows central government to appoint administrators and vest property in them.

Central Government may, after a reasonable opportunity to show cause and by notification in the Official Gazette, declare a recognised association's governing body superseded for a specified period and appoint one or more persons to exercise its powers and duties; members cease to hold office on notification, appointees may be authorised to have specified association property vest in them, the appointment period may be varied by notification, appointees continue until reconstitution, and property vests or revests in the reconstituted governing body.
