Quorum requirement: business needs prescribed members; absence triggers adjournment and limits business to the adjourned meeting.

The rule fixes the quorum for a general meeting at one fifth of total members unless bye laws state otherwise and prohibits transacting business without that quorum; failure to form a quorum within half an hour leads to adjournment (except requisition meetings, which are dissolved). If quorum falls during a meeting the Chairperson must adjourn; the adjourned meeting, to be held within seven days, may consider only the remaining agenda and requires no quorum.
