Central Road and Infrastructure Fund expansion deems levy proceeds cess and empowers a committee to allocate project shares.

The Act renames the Central Road Fund as the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund, deems specified additional duties on motor spirit and high speed diesel to be cess credited to the Fund, inserts Schedule II enumerating Infrastructure Sub-Sectors eligible for funding, and vests administration, investment decisions, fund-raising and allocation powers in the Central Government while establishing a Committee headed by the Finance Minister to finalise the Fund share apportioned to each infrastructure project.
