Appellate Tribunal powers permit confirmation, modification, annulment or referral of orders with procedural safeguards and limited adjournments.

The Appellate Tribunal may confirm, modify, annul or refer an appealed order for fresh adjudication, after giving parties an opportunity to be heard and, if necessary, taking additional evidence. It may grant limited adjournments on sufficient cause and may amend its orders to rectify errors apparent on the face of the record within a limited period, provided amendments that increase liability are made only after hearing the affected party. The Tribunal must, as far as possible, decide appeals within a prescribed period and send copies of orders to relevant authorities and parties; its orders are final and binding except as otherwise provided.
