Failure to furnish information return may attract a daily penalty imposed by the proper officer, subject to a capped maximum.

Failure to furnish an information return required under section 150 within the period specified in the notice under sub section (3) may result in the proper officer directing a daily penalty for each day the failure continues, subject to an overall statutory cap on the total penalty.
