Appellate Tribunal powers: may confirm, modify, remit or amend orders, subject to hearings and procedural safeguards.

The Appellate Tribunal may, after giving parties an opportunity of being heard, confirm, modify, annul or remit decisions for fresh adjudication or additional evidence; grant adjournments for sufficient cause; amend its orders to rectify errors apparent on the face of the record within a prescribed period subject to hearing before any amendment that increases liability; endeavour to decide appeals within a fixed time; circulate copies of orders to the authorities and parties; and, save as otherwise provided, its orders are final and binding.
