Appeal to Supreme Court arises from Appellate Tribunal orders or High Court-certified cases; civil procedure rules apply to appeals.

An appeal to the Supreme Court lies from any order of the National or Regional Benches of the Appellate Tribunal and, where the High Court certifies a case as fit, from a High Court judgment in an appeal under section 117. Appeals are to follow, as far as practicable, the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure applicable to Supreme Court appeals from High Court decrees, and where the High Court's judgment is varied or reversed the Supreme Court's order must be given effect in the manner provided for High Court judgments.
